Bob and Fred Mosby both graduated from the University of Idaho.  They then got their first professional jobs in Southern California.  While there they were appalled by the state of transportation in that urban area.  They set about studying the rapid transit systems available and realized that one of the big problems was the lack of a simple and reliable switching system.  For about 20 years they have modeled and tried various ideas.  In 2023 they acquired a patent  (US-11459706-B1) on their switching method.
